this is a porcelain plaque I made quite a long time ago. It cracked in the kiln and I was rather disappointed by that and was not sure what to do with it.
I glued it to a piece of black silk and popped it in a frame and it has been up on the wall ever since.
In retrospect I rather like the effect of that crack, it makes it look like an archaeological find !

I love it! And yes, it does look like it could be from an archaeological find, and lucky to have only one crack!
That's a gorgeous dragon and the crack just adds to the aged effect!
I've been watching the Great Pottery Throwdown so I feel quite knowledgeable about pottery now LOL
The framing really suits the whole piece, and I agree it looks like an archaeological find!
It does look good with that fabric and frame. I think the crack adds character to the dragon.
