BFF SAL 9 ringing in the change

well from working on the Earth to Saturn.

I thought I might do the rings part and then go back to the earth.

I got the rings sorted and then just kept going.

This is my finishing point at the end of the Skype sewing.

However, it did not end there. With the final of the Sewing Bee on the TV filling in the rest of the planet was just too tempting.

So another celestial body is completed and just the big three to go.

Meanwhile back at the real SAL  my BFF is working away at that last very large purple edge pattern.

To see her progress.

Sunday Stichings Hot pink

Whilst the pink may have been hot today was comparatively cool after a warm week.

as you can see from the thread in the needle there is more pink to come on the right, quite a bit more, it may take all of the next lot of stitching time.

BFF SaL (sort of) Land ahoy

Whilst my BFF labours with the many many edge design click here for her update

I am working on my other over one project. And after sea and clouds, blues and grey it was nice to do a bit of pale brown for the land.

Which amuses me as when I was doing the angels (with many a pale brown shade) I wanted to be doing some blue!

We may be getting closer to BFF SAL l0 as my friend stiches many a purple stitch.

Sunday Stitching on Fathers Day

Managed to complete the first sections of pink and all of that blue shade. Not sure that is giving much away of what the finished seasonal designs are is going to be.

These stitches are (so far at least) nice foe working on whilst listening to the speakers at Church.

BFF SAL 9 (after a gap week)

So we missed our crafting session last week which is going to show in out sharing position for this week.

I have finished my tree and as much of an edge as it is getting this time round.

The hunt for a square frame (that is not a box frame) continues.

As my BFF has much more edge to go she worked on that this evening and I worked on the Earth!

Gifted Gorgeousness Link up June 2022

Pop over to Jo's blog (if you did not arrive here from there) for details of how this link up works.

So first a little stitch I gifted, a book mark, to be honest I was thinking it a bit large for the purpose but the person I gave it to thought it a good size.  When putting the stitch into the frame that came with it I added some thin flexible plastic to protect the cross stitch from print transference.

I quite enjoyed stitching it whilst at the same time it was not an image that delighted me. Happily the recipient liked the image so a double win.

Then a stitch gifted to me by my London Pen Pal in celebration of the Jubilee

The next item was a nice surprise.

My mother attends a fortnightly support / social group.

She came back from one of her meeting with this tin.

So  a big tin with a lid, what to do with it?

So now I have a place for my big spools of sewing thread.

And it has a a rope handle so I can carry it about.

And it is a repurpose item

It makes me happy.

Sunday Stitching

Been awhile since I shared a stitch on a Sunday project.

So here is the start of a two in one new stitch.

It is going to be a seasonal stitch. But for which season?

I have also finished another planet!

Admittedly a small planet but it is completed and there were a few more stitches around the edge of the earth and the moon.

NCFE Week 4 (delayed by 2 weeks)

due to CV19 targeting the teacher.

Now the plan for this week was either doing marbling on glass, lead by the class teacher or one of the students offered to show us how to do junk journals.

That was after "staging" our work and taking photographs for the accreditation. And completing the course paperwork.

I took along a box, a scarf, bud vase and some flowers to stage my card. However happily my resin item had turned up under some papers in a storage space so I had a bit more to take a picture of than anticipated.

This is one of the pictures I took, the teacher took pictures as well, so now I wait for the marking and  adjudication process. There may well be a level 2 course in the future, but as yet any details on when or indeed what have not been settled.

Sadly the crafting options for the evening did not go ahead but on the plus side the junk journal lady relieved me of the bits I had collected for that purpose, small scraps of fabric and coloured paper and card.  It was nice to have met up and chat with the other students. Hopefully we will be meeting again for level two in the near future.

A little card

from that little kit my BFF and I both amended from the original.

It went to the first couple who's wedding I have officiated.

I will admit it was a last moment realisation that the stitch would do, I rather forgot in amongst the other things pre wedding that I needed to have ready.  Like finding the fountain pen and the official special ink.

But at least it found a place.

BFF SAL 9 From bottom to top

 I have edges completed.

So I needed some further contemplation before starting the sides so whilst my BFF continued on with the many many edge designs I turned to Millennium for a little bit of light relief!

That is saying something..and finished another planet!

and if you came from my BFF's blog and are wondering about the discussion of bunnies, well one of the symbols in the planet looked like a rather crazy bunny head.

And if not, well CLICK HERE to visit her blog.
